 At Oodle Crew, we believe that every puppy deserves the very best start in life. Our breeding program is built on ethical, responsible practices that prioritise the health, happiness, and wellbeing of our puppies, parents, and future families. We follow industry best practices, veterinary guidance, and a carefully structured puppy-raising program to ensure our puppies grow into healthy, confident, and well-adjusted companions. 

Before breeding, all our parent dogs undergo:

• Comprehensive veterinary health checks to ensure they are in excellent condition.
• Genetic and DNA testing to screen for breed-specific hereditary conditions.
• Specialists and eye assessments where applicable to maintain healthy lines.

This careful selection process helps us produce puppies with strong genetics, sound structure, and excellent temperaments.

Our puppies are born and raised in our home, where they receive:

• 24/7 care during the newborn stage, with close monitoring to ensure healthy development.
• Daily handling to build trust, comfort with humans, and early socialisation.
• Exposure to normal household sounds like vacuum cleaners, doors, and children playing to help them adapt confidently to family life.

Following the ENS program, from days 3–16, we gently expose puppies to short, specific exercises that:

• Boost neurological development
• Strengthen immune response
• Improve stress resilience
• Build confidence in new situations

This program has been shown to set puppies up for better emotional stability and trainability as adults.

We follow a week-by-week curriculum carefully documented in our training spreadsheet. This ensures every puppy experiences the right activities at the right developmental stage.

Some key milestones include:

• Week 2–3: Early handling, gentle noises, exposure to different surfaces
• Week 4: Introduction to puppy-safe toys, early litter training, startle recovery exercises
• Week 5: Meeting friendly adults and children, exploring safe outdoor areas
• Week 6: Introduction to crate training, car rides, grooming tools, and gentle baths
• Week 7–8: Confidence building through tunnels, wobble boards, and supervised playgroups

By the time our puppies go to their forever homes, they’ve experienced early potty training, basic confidence exercises, and gentle crate conditioning.

We expose puppies to a wide range of experiences including:

• Different people (children, adults, males, females)
• Various sounds (traffic, thunderstorms, household noises)
• Different surfaces (grass, carpet, tiles)
• Car travel and crate experiences for smoother transitions to their new homes
   

This helps prevent fearfulness and sets them up to be well-rounded family companions.
